When kids participate in individual or team swimming sports, they receive positive opportunities for learning sportsmanship, working toward goals and functioning as part of a team. Children who engage in ongoing swimming practices and sporting events can become stronger physically as they develop a positive outlook and self-esteem. Swimming involves cardiovascular activity, which enhances both heart and lung condition. Swimming also increases strength, endurance, flexibility and balance, as well as being a fun way to cool off in the heat.

Students in grade 1 and 2 start off their Brainwaves Unit by doing science experiments and dissecting a brain...Even though the brain they are using isn't real, they are learning about its functions and how to become better learners.

K2 Learning Centers and Fine Motor Skills In K2 we have a routine that we like to stick to. After our Morning Circle Time we all enjoy working at our Learning Centers. These help us in lots of ways and they are lots of fun too. Our K2 teach has 3 different tables that we rotate through, each with a different activity which is designed to strengthen our fine motor skills, and we call it our Finger Gym time. As well as working on our physical skills this also gives a chance to talk with our class mates, learn about other people and share our learning with our friends. So not only are we learning but were busy growing and socializing too. Registration for the 05th September 2016/2017 scholar year is now open! enroll your child now to take advantage of our special promotion 50% off (enrollment fee) 30% off (tuition fee) .

Message from the Principal

Hello and welcome to Zion International School Website. My name is Karen McArthur. I am Australian educator with over 30 years experience in teaching, curriculum development and teacher training.
I am a passionate educator who is committed to lifelong learning. My approach to teaching and learning is student centered. I believe that learning as a community should be inclusive, collaborative, culturally sensitive and encapsulate equity. I have a strong belief in empowerment through education that is relevant, encourages critical thinking, is meaningful and encompasses a world view enabling students to see their place in their community and as a global citizen.
I look forward to helping, learning and growing with your child and to working with the parent community to ensure your child achieves their best and that they strive to support each other in pursuing knowledge, acquiring skills and deepening their understandings of themselves, and the world around them.
